Professional Code of Conduct
Healthy World Environmental affiliates must maintain the highest level of professionalism. We serve the public and the professional communities. There is an expectation of behavior. How you dress, talk and work will determine your level of professionalism. The following guidelines will help you be that professional.
Appearance
- Always be sure that your uniforms are clean. Keep shirt tails tucked in
- No blue jeans
- No smoking or chewing tobacco at or near the job site
- Do not chew gum
- If you have body piercing, keep it covered up or remove it while at the job site
- If you have tattoos, keep them covered
Attitude
- Be enthusiastic
- Show interest and concern about your clients’ problems
- Be considerate of their feelings
- Be happy. You are in the best industry there is
- Always remain calm. Never lose your composure in front of a client
Work Ethic
- Always produce more than expected
- Learn every aspect of the job (be the professional)
- Continue until you know you have accomplished every task
- Leave the site as clean and orderly as you found it
- If you break something, bring it to the attention of the client and replace it. A professional never tries to hide a problem. He/she meets it head on
- Do a job so completely that you can look back on a job well done and know your client is satisfied
If you develop the frame of mind that you are THE professional, and you do everything as a professional, you will have peace of mind and contentment. Never let it be said you lived life like an amateur.
